Valve President Gabe Newell discusses the importance of the Steam Deck's price and its development. This is only a portion of our full interview with Newell, which will be published later this month along with even more Steam Deck coverage.
The Steam Deck, is a handheld gaming PC with a form-factor similar to that of a Nintendo Switch. No hard release date has been given, but the Steam Deck has a launch planned for Holiday 2021, with a pre-order reservation system launching in the near future. The price starts at $399, with models that have more storage at $529 and $649 as well.

It'll be free and open to the public, but be prepared for long queues, as this beta is going to stress test the game's servers. Completely unrelated, the International Red Cross Society wants gamers to follow the Geneva Conventions. They are challenging players of popular shooters to try and follow the established Rules of War, and a few streamers are rising to the occasion. Satisfactory is an open-world crafting factory-building game developed by Coffee Stain Studios. Players will explore an alien planet to engage with exploration and combat mechanics to create multi-story factories alone or with friends. Satisfactory is launching into a 1.0 state on September 10 for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).

World War Z: Aftermath reviewed by Travis Northup on PC and Xbox Series X. Also available on Xbox One and PlayStation.
Aftermath evolves World War Z in some major ways that brought a smile to my face. Kamchatka is a stellar new episode and the improved melee options and first-person mode are great quality-of-life improvements, but there are still issues with online play, barely any attempt at storytelling, and bizarre design choices (such as a lack of aiming down sights in first-person mode) that are huge disappointments. Even so, blasting my way through countless zombies still has lasting charm, and Aftermath makes World War Z better than it has ever been.

The Jackass Forever trailer is out, and it’s really a blast from the past. You’ve got most of the original Jackass cast returning, like Wee Man and Steve-O, some new faces and celebrities - but unfortunately long-time Jackass cast member Bam Margera won’t be among them in Jackass 4, due to allegedly breaching his contractual agreements. For many years, Bam has dealt with drug and alcohol abuse, with the death of his best friend and Jackass movie and Jackass series cast mate Ryan Dunn in 2011 sending him spiraling further down the path of addiction. His former Jackass co-star Steve-O responded to his rant in the comments of his IG video by saying how the two people Bam says wronged him, Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville, also saved his life. The now sober Steve-O also once suffered from addiction. In other news, seems like James Gunn got to do whatever he wanted in the upcoming DC movie, Suicide Squad. Speaking with Variety, actor Jai Courtney commented on the amount of freedom the studio gave to the director. And finally, it seems like people are chill on getting a Netflix account these days, as the streaming giant’s subscriber base in North America has dropped by almost half a million. The second quarter of 2021 has been somewhat of a mixed bag for Netflix, with The Hollywood Reporter stating that Netflix topped its expectations for the second quarter after raising its subscriber count by 1.5 million.

Capcom did a fantastic job of resurrecting all the best parts of the classic Resident Evil 2 and making them look, sound, and play like a 2019 game.
Editor's Note: This review has been updated to correct a factual error regarding the way you unlock the 2nd Game mode, and as a result, the score has been increased from 8.8 to 9.0. We regret the error and really like Resident Evil 2.

Don't Look Up is in select theaters on Dec. 10 and will stream on Netflix Dec. 24. Review by Samantha Nelson.
A bleak commentary on humanity's failure to address climate change, Don't Look Up eviscerates disaster movie tropes and the institutions that fail to stand up for the greater good of humanity. While McKay makes some missteps with his direction and screenplay, it's an overall strong outing driven by an incredible cast.
